Blessing of homosexual couples by the Vatican comes “earlier than expected”, according to church lawyer Rik Torfs

The Vatican on Monday opened the door to the Catholic blessing of a relationship between same-sex couples. Pope Francis approved a statement allowing this. According to church lawyer Rik Torfs (KU Leuven), the announcement comes earlier than expected, although there is still no room for an effective marriage for the church.
