The sustainable fashion provider Bleed clothing GmbH has a new business model and becomes a community-based company.
The Heimbrechts-based company announced on Wednesday that it had decided to take the path of a community-based company and thus finance significant parts of its operating costs through a community of end consumers.
In May, Bleed was on the verge of finally ending. At that time it was said that if no investors were found, the company would have to close its doors. With the transformation to a community-based company, part of the company’s costs will now be financed by a community of end consumers. Conversely, they should be included even more actively in the brand’s creative process.
Solidarity agriculture serves as the inspiration for this new path, which is led by founder Michael Spitzbarth with the support of the transformation network Mycelium. It’s not just about an alternative financing option, but about community-based collaboration to develop needs-oriented products in the spirit of sustainability. The decision “underlines Bleed clothing’s commitment to a greener future, free from oppressive market structures.”
“We believe that full sustainability can only be achieved through community engagement,” says Bleed CEO Spitzbarth. “The changeover not only offers ecological benefits, but also the opportunity to realize our vision of a sustainable future together.”
