Blazè Milano: the tailored and fashion jacket

«A pasta with tomato sauce, with fresh basil and grated parmesan… Italian, classic, good, authentic, never tiring».
Self Blaze Milan were it a dish, according to its founders, it would have exactly this flavour. To be fully enjoyed with a particular musical background, «a soft rock à la Rolling Stone». The debut ten years ago, for this «choral brand that arises from comparison». And, in fact, the three businesswoman-friends speak almost in unison, each one completing and enriching the other’s words: Conrad (Rodriguez d’Acre) head of the style office, Dauphine (Pinardi) at the head of the Marketing and Communication department e Mary Sun (Torlonia) to the Sales Department.

From left: Delfina Pinardi, Maria Sole Torlonia and Corrada Rodriguez D’Acri at the LuisaViaRoma and BLAZÉ Milano event.

A decidedly winning trio, starting from the idea behind the brand: a market analysis. “We were faced with a new female audience, who was starting to sit at important tables, and we thought of a garment that finally did justice to women’s tailoring». Hence the intuition to offer a key item «that it wasn’t so much a fashion product as something that the customers really wanted to wear: the jacket». A naturally masculine garment, which now needed a distinctive element that declared its new nature. Having said that: the “pocket smileys”, «the particular arched shape of the pockets of our blazers. A detail that dilutes the rigor of the lines and which has become a real “signature” of Blazemaking us immediately recognizable».

Italian taste and dégagé style

And if it is true that they ironically say: «In the company, men are there only to count, make contracts and do boring things», it is equally undeniable that these three women add a clear entrepreneurial vision to their creativity that does not allow for flaws. Starting with the style. «Italian, sartorial, dégagétimeless». With an in-depth look at the French term dégagé which for Corrada, Delfina and Maria Sole tells «a woman without too many artificeswho does not need make-up and wig, from coolness innate, always capable of bringing out the most authentic part of herself». Any examples? Caroline de Maigretthe French model and music producer who has long been their creative muse, or further back in time the character played by Lauren Hutton in American Gigolo. Archetypes of a sensuality that is never ostentatious, but at the same time immediately palpable, which passes through a very personal style.

The same as Blaze embodies from day one. A success that brings together many women, “stars” (among fans of the brand Jessica Chastain And Julia Roberts) and common, fashionistas and business women, old and new generations. As? «Our blazer has managed to become a item of clothing that makes status, just like it happens to certain accessories. We succeeded because the workmanship is excellent and because when you wear it, you immediately declare your identity. As happens to a Chanel bag». And if you think that after ten years the time has come to enjoy it, you are off track, this is not how the trio thinks: «Every day we have confirmation, we reach a new milestone, but we believe that you never make it until you keep making it». Because, quoting another classic that never tires, The Show Must Go On.
