Every year, the Association of German Taxpayers (BdSt) publishes the Black Book, in which the biggest tax wastes are denounced. According to its own statements, the BdSt has been the “interest group for all taxpayers” for over 70 years. It is independent, politically neutral and non-profit. Financed by donations and membership fees alone, the BdSt uncovers over 100 cases of tax money being wasted every year. By publicizing these cases, the BdSt wants to reduce taxes and duties, stop waste, reduce national debt and reduce bureaucracy.
