Black and red wants to come across well in front of the cameras at their weekend retreat. If the conference room isn’t that great, a pedestal is built outside on the lawn. Even if you then have to stage yourself in the blazing sun.

Berlin’s governor Kai Wegner has emphasized on many occasions that the CDU and SPD are undesirable as a team and as soloists. And his SPD predecessor Franziska Giffey is pleased that a lot is suddenly possible in this constellation.

This can be seen in the emergency programme, for example in the free parking for the fire brigade and police officers in shift work, longer preventive detention, for example for climate stickers or the further efforts to get the 29-euro ticket.

Of course, the last masses have not been sung with the financing. But it gives hope to see politicians doing their job without discord. Then they are welcome to put themselves on the podium.
