Bitter earth, previews of November 5th

The new episode revolves around the love triangle between Demir, Ümit and Züleyha. Demir Yaman (Murat Ünalmis) receives a phone call from Ümit (Hande Soral), who asks him to reach him as soon as possible. Concerned by the tone of her voice, he rushes to her. When he arrives, the scenario is different from what he expected. Ümit is neither sick nor worried. She was just looking for an excuse to have her man over for dinner with her.

Demir, however, is visibly embarrassed. Although he has promised her that they will be together as soon as he divorces Züleyha (Hilal Altinbilek), he is stalling before making a final decision. It should be remembered that Züleyha was involved in a car accident in which she risked losing her life. This tragic event stirred something inside Demir, who is now no longer convinced that he wants to leave everything to start a life with Ümit.

Meanwhile, Züleyha is still recovering and working from home. Demir avoids meeting her because he is certain that she does not love him. She is afraid of rejection and that is why she entered into a relationship with Ümit. Despite this, one evening he shows up at her house and it doesn’t take much to reconnect. They spend the night together and he realizes that Züleyha loves him too. Therefore he must resolve the Ümit issue.

She invites him to dinner and, when he arrives, confesses her feelings to him, saying she is also willing to wait as long as necessary. The conversation is interrupted by Sevda (Nazan Kezal), who asks Ümit to call Demir immediately. The man remains hidden and cannot be found. Shortly afterwards he leaves and says nothing about the declaration of love he received from Ümit. When he leaves the apartment, he meets Sevda and explains to her that he went to Ümit precisely because he wanted to leave her, but his arrival ruined the plans. Not bad, because a few days later Demir finally finds the courage to face reality and goes to Ümit and explains to her that there is no future for them. She doesn’t agree at all, but the decision has now been made. And Ümit is already thinking about revenge.

Demir in Fikret’s sights

That’s not all, because Demir also has another problem to deal with. He decided to invest a lot in his company. AND announces that they will increase the production of local products in order to intensify their exports. From his point of view, an expedient to strengthen the city’s economy. Everyone is enthusiastic except Fikret Fekeli (Furkan Palali), the illegitimate son of Adnan Yaman, aka Demir’s father.

Fikret develops a plan to get rid of his brother, but something goes wrong and in the end Yaman manages to get away. Furthermore, he gives the devices he found under the trucks to the prosecutor so that he can proceed with the investigation. He doesn’t know, however, that Fikret harbors an ancestral anger and will do anything to knock him offside. After all, his resentment has deep roots.

Demir’s father never recognized him and, above all, deceived his mother by promising that they would leave his wife. He tells the story to his wife Müjgan (Melike Ipek Yalova), who tries to be close to him, but is later pushed away by Fikret himself.

Bitter earth, The secret and saturation risk

Promotion di Bitter earth in prime time is not a completely new choice for Mediaset. Years ago, it raged on Canale 5 The secreta Spanish soap set in the fictional town Puente Viejo. The deeds of the cruel Donna Francisca and the other characters – some accomplices and some submissive – have accompanied viewers for years. And when the title took on the strength of a real afternoon battleship, it was decided to try to broadcast it in prime time.

Ua choice that initially paid off. The public wanted to know more and daily episodes were no longer enough. Therefore, even more space was given in the schedule. Over time, however, ratings dropped. The same thing happened in Spain, where it was decided to definitively close it.

As regards Canale 5, the prevailing presence of The secret it meant there was less room for anything else. And in the long term the concept of minimum expenditure, maximum return perhaps did not pay off much, considering the poor ratings. Now it will be a winning idea to propose Bitter earth even in prime time?
