Curiosity in Leipzig: RB defender El Chadaille Betshiabu was surprisingly not in the squad for the Bundesliga game at FC Augsburg. However, not because he would have been sick or finally too weak: the 19-year-old did not stick to team agreements.
“Chad missed the departure this morning and thus the flight. Then you can’t be there at the end of the day,” said coach Marco Rose before the kick -off at DAZN. The 48-year-old initially left open whether the lack of further consequences will result.
Bitshiabu has been playing in Leipzig since 2023 and was on the pitch in eleven league games this season, but has been substituted seven times. In Augsburg, Rose’s team brought just a 0-0 without him and continues to look for Constance.
