Bird flu outbreak on the coast: Ostend is taking measures

A number of sick birds from various coastal municipalities have already been brought into the Ostend bird sanctuary. Especially among black-headed gulls, infections are on the rise again. Anyone who sees sick or dead birds can call the reporting center of the bird sanctuary to collect them so that the disease does not spread further.

Although there is little or no danger to humans, the city still recommends not to touch the birds.
