In Nieuwleusen (municipality of Dalfsen, province of Overijssel) bird flu was diagnosed on a broiler breeder farm. To prevent the virus from spreading, the approximately 60,000 broiler breeders at the location are culled by the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).
