Bird flu (H5) was diagnosed on Tuesday at a poultry farm in Bentelo in Overijssel, the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority reports. It concerns the dangerous and highly pathogenic variant. To prevent further spread, all 120,000 laying hens at this company are culled, as well as the 69,000 chickens at the neighboring company of the same owner.
