Bin Salman denies Biden having killed journalist – US expects Saudi oil supply to ramp up

US President Joe Biden arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday. An initially cool reception awaited him there. During his 2020 election campaign, Biden had said he wanted to make Saudi Arabia a pariah over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is considered to be the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, denied Friday to Biden that he had anything to do with the assassination. Talks were also held about oil supply and the US is counting on Saudi Arabia to open the oil tap further.
