Billie Eilish is nominated for an Oscar for “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie”.
Billie Eilish will probably appear at the upcoming Oscars. The singer revealed this during an interview at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 4th.
Singer stammers confirmation
There had previously been rumors about Billie Eilish appearing at the Academy Awards. Now, at the Grammys, an Entertainment Tonight representative asked, “Will we see you on stage at the Oscars?” Billie Eilish slipped out an affirmation before interrupting herself and putting her hand over her mouth. Then she continued: “Oops, maybe, I mean, yes.” Her brother Finneas O’Connell, with whom the singer writes her songs, interrupted her. “Who knows,” was his statement.
However, Billie Eilish followed up again. “I don’t know. “Anyway, I honestly have no idea,” she said. And then: “I love the Oscars. I’m excited.”

The singer and her brother are themselves nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Song category. For “Barbie,” she sang “What Was I Made For?” She has already won in the Song of the Year and Best Song categories at the Grammys. In addition to the ballad, “I’m Just Ken,” another song from the film “Barbie,” is nominated for an Oscar at the 96th awards ceremony on March 10th. Also available are “The Fire Inside” from “Flamin’ Hot”, “It Never Went Away” from “American Symphony” and “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” from “Killers Of The Flower Moon”.

Typically, the category nominees appear during the Oscars ceremony. Billie Eilish and Finneas were also on the Academy stage in 2022 when they were nominated for their “James Bond” theme song “No Time To Die”. They later won the prize.
