The Hamburg-based fashion jewelery supplier Bijou Brigitte Modest Accessoires AG continued on its growth course in the first quarter of the current year. Citing preliminary figures, the company said on Wednesday that it was able to generate sales of EUR 64.9 million in the months from January to March. This corresponded to an increase of 30.3 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year. With the significant increase, the retailer has continued “the positive sales development of the past year”, according to a statement.
In the 2022 financial year, Bijou Brigitte recovered well from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and achieved unexpectedly strong growth. According to preliminary figures, annual sales amounted to EUR 306.5 million, exceeding the 2021 level by 41.8 percent. The net profit reached 35.3 million euros and was more than twice as high as in the previous year. The company plans to present its final results for 2022 later this month.
