BIG signs women’s team in CS:GO

BIG will also have a women’s team in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. As the Berlin e-sports organization announced, it is signing the Spanish-Portuguese team Equipa, which has already won several smaller tournaments.

The line-up, which has been playing together since 2020, will continue under the BIG Equipa name. “We’ve always believed that hard work can lead to good things,” team leader Aidy “Aidy” García Cortés said. “We want to represent BIG with great pride because we are very happy to join this family.”

Joining Aidy are Aida Mariana “Aida” Ribeiro Pinto Simão, Jennifer Irina “JennyR” Brea Rodriguez, Ana Sofia “Zana” Queiroz Marques and Marta Sofia “D7” Asensio Barreira. Jonathan “MusambaN1” Torrent has been signed as coach.

The first appearance of BIG Equipa will be the Dreamhack Dallas, where the first offline tournament of the women’s tournament series “ESL Impact” will be held. However, the team is not one of the favorites there.
