Lequincio Zeefuik’s future most likely lies with AZ. The 19-year-old striker comes over on a free transfer from fellow provincial FC Volendam. Various media confirm this.
FC Twente was also in the market for the Amsterdammer, but they seem to be missing out. Zeefuik made his debut for Volendam in the first division against Telstar in 2021. He was immediately accurate in that match. The attacker was promoted in 2022 with the Eel farmers to the Premier League and played 29 matches and scored five times. His last three goals have come in the last four games.
Zeefuik’s contract expires next summer. Rumors that AZ and FC Twente are interested in the attacker emerged last week. The people of Alkmaar have not yet officially reported the arrival of the Zeefuik.
