FOOTBALL – The switch from Sunday to Saturday had to be accompanied by promotion to the fourth division for the performance team of VAKO. Nothing more and nothing less, but after the painful 2-0 defeat against Westerkwartier tonight, the championship in the 5th division D seems out of sight for the time being.
The club from Vries is behind leader VVK by nine points, although VAKO has played one game less and the competition for VAKO is now only halfway.
Both goals in the game between VAKO and Westerkwartier were made after the break. Martijn Kuiper and Wietse Venema were the goalscorers.
NWVV simply pass Meeden
In the fifth division F, NWVV has won again after two draws. The home game against Meeden was 3-0 for the number three in this class. Erwin Schipper (2x) and Mark Kok were the goalscorers for the home team.
NWVV, which already has the first period under its belt, remains close to the numbers 1 and 2 in this class: SETA and Scheemda due to the victory. SETA has 38 points from 18 matches, Scheemda follows with 34 from 14 and NWVV now has 30 points from 13 matches.
