BIG changes three players in CS:GO offseason

After an unsuccessful Counter-Strike season, BIG changes three players. In addition to two players from the Academy team, there is also an external signing.

From the previous line-up, only Karim “Krimbo” Moussa remains in addition to announcer Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz. Elias “s1n” Stein, who was already used as a substitute for the Rio Major, and David “prosus” Hesse are moving up from their own Academy team. “We’ve put years into their training and worked closely with them on our vision. Now it’s time to let them off the leash,” explains BIG’s Chief Gaming Officer Roman Reinhardt in a press release.

Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski, who was last active at OG a year ago, is coming as a new AWP player. The Polish-British player was already on the German scene before, with Alternate Attax he became German champion in 2019. In return, Marcel “hyped” Köhn, who was only promoted in February, is taking the step back to the Academy.

The core of the new line-up recently won the ESL Championship as an academy team. The starting place for the IEM Cologne earned there should therefore go to the first team.
