Big boost for FC Volendam: keeper Filip Stankovic hired from Inter remains

FC Volendam can also count on Filip Stankovic in the Eredivisie. The 1.90 meter long goalkeeper confirmed after the first training that he remains loyal to Volendam. The Eredivisionist rents Stankovic again for one year from Internazionale.

Stankovic played a strong season under the bar after a rough start. Certainly in the second part of the competition he kept the team from trainer Wim Jonk on his feet several times in decisive situations.

It is no surprise for the 22-year-old Serb that he will remain with FC Volendam. “I knew I would come back here. They asked in Italy if I wanted to stay and I said yes.” His father, former international Dejan Stankovic and manager still have to deal with the last contractual details with FC Volendam.

In total there were only seven field players and two goalkeepers on the field this morning. A second group underwent various tests within. In the afternoon, those groups are reversed. According to trainer Wim Jonk, his selection now has just under twenty players and reinforcements must be added in every line.
