Anthony Fauci, US President Joe Biden’s chief adviser on the coronavirus pandemic, has Covid-19. This has been announced by the National Institute of Infectious Diseases in the US, of which Fauci is director himself.
According to ABC News Fauci is not considered a close contact with the head of state and has only mild symptoms.
Fauci, 81, is fully vaccinated and has also received two booster shots. He will be quarantined and will continue to work from home.
