Biden scraps Trump’s “patriotic” colors for next Air Force One | Abroad

The design chosen by current President Joe Biden is a modern version of what Air Force One has looked like since John F. Kennedy. There are only minor adjustments.

Trump, on the other hand, would have wanted to radiate more patriotism with his new “powerful” colors. He always kept a scale model of his own design on a coffee table in the Oval Office.

Those colors were ultimately rejected in part because it would cause delays in the delivery of the aircraft. The dark blue color also threatened to cause overheating in some electronic systems, it sounds. This would require additional testing, while the process is already taking longer than hoped.

The new presidential planes are expected to be ready in 2027 or 2028. That means the winner of the next election will be the first to use them.
