US President Joe Biden described his last week telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as productive. Reuters.

“We had a productive conversation with President Zelensky, we continue to continuously engage in diplomacy in order to de-escalate tensions <...> and increase the security of our allies, partners and all of Europe,” the American president said.

Biden and Zelensky phoned as part of a regular interaction between the countries on January 27. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the call was “to set the clock.”

Politico learned about Zelensky’s fears about the “collusion” of Russia and the United States

Later, CNN, citing a source, reported that tensions were growing between the heads of state due to differences in views on the threat of an attack on Ukraine by Russia.
