With a starting price under €25,000, and orders commencing in Germany in October 2026, the new Dacia Striker presents itself as an intriguing alternative to the Skoda Octavia. Before embarking on extensive test drives in the coming months, let’s delve into the interior details of this vehicle.
Dimensions and Space Concept
The Dacia Striker’s interior is designed as a crossover concept, focusing on functionality for up to five passengers. Measuring 4.62 meters in length, this model offers ample space for both passengers and luggage, especially during long trips. The car’s architecture combines a total height of 1.53 meters with a ground clearance of 19 centimeters for the front-wheel-drive version and 20 centimeters for the all-wheel-drive variant, allowing for an elevated seating position.
A large panoramic glass roof made of multi-layered glass enhances light entry into the passenger area, featuring filters for thermal and acoustic insulation. To reduce noise levels in the cabin, aerodynamic optimizations have been integrated into the body, along with sound-absorbing materials and thicker glass for the windshield and front side windows.
Cockpit and Control Structure
The dashboard of the Striker is horizontally structured in three tiers. The section facing the interior employs textile surfaces and the material Starkle. In line with its material concept, components in the door panels and dashboard are made from recycled polypropylene—up to 80% in some instances.
The middle tier consolidates physical switches for frequently used functions while driving. At the top, digital displays include a central 10.1-inch touchscreen operated by either the Media Display or Media Nav Live systems, depending on the equipment line. The latter offers networked navigation with real-time traffic information for eight years, as well as an Arkamys 3D sound system featuring six speakers.
The standard digital driver info display, LightVisio, presents driving-relevant data using optical reflection in a three-dimensional display. The outer ventilation ducts draw on the T-shaped light signature featured in the vehicle’s exterior design.
Storage Solutions and Equipment Variants
For everyday organization, the cockpit features cable routing from the glove compartment to the center console and an integrated ice scraper hidden away in the dashboard when the door is closed. The center console includes a 6.7-liter storage compartment beneath the armrest, which may be equipped with a sliding drawer depending on the trim level. Removable cup holders can be positioned at up to nine locations in the vehicle using the YouClip attachment system.
Available accessories include a bottle holder, a multi-purpose net, and a child blanket that doubles as a play mat. Material choices vary based on trim lines: the Extreme version offers washable MicroCloud upholstery and rubber floor mats containing 20% recycled material. The Journey variant includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a blend of fabric and MicroCloud upholstery. Starting from the Expression trim, an electronic parking brake and an auto-hold system come standard.
Trunk and Cargo Space
The trunk provides up to 600 liters of cargo space in its standard configuration, accessed via an electric tailgate with an automatic opening function. If the key fob is held for a few seconds within one meter behind the vehicle, the tailgate will open automatically after a warning sequence via the blinkers and acoustic signal. The dual-section cargo cover can be stored in a compartment under the trunk floor when not in use.
The three-part modular loading floor features reversible elements—carpet on one side and a wipeable surface on the other. This floor can be positioned at two levels: the upper level creates a flat loading surface when the rear seats are folded down, while the lower level maximizes loading volume. In bivalent engine configurations, the LPG gas tank is fully integrated under the trunk floor, preserving the regular volume. The Easy-Fold system allows the 60/40 split rear seat to be folded down using two grips in the trunk or tabs on the seatbacks.
