Biathlon sprint relocated – Hinz has to pass

The women’s biathlon sprint at the start of the World Cup finals in Oslo has been postponed from Thursday to Friday due to bad weather forecasts.

This was announced by the world association IBU on Wednesday. The women around Olympic champion Denise Herrmann will run the race over 7.5 km on Friday (1:15 p.m.) directly ahead of the men, who will start at 3:50 p.m. on the legendary Holmenkollen.

On Saturday the pursuers are on the program, before the long Olympic winter of the ski hunters comes to an end on Sunday with the concluding mass starts.

Meanwhile, Vanessa Hinz has to fit one way or the other. The German has tested positive for the corona virus and will therefore miss the season finale.

The 29-year-old shared a picture of a positive rapid test in an Instagram story and wrote: “It’s, it’s, it’s good.” Due to the short time, their starting place will not be reassigned, so that on Friday, individual Olympic champions Denise Herrmann, Janina Hettich, Vanessa Voigt and Franziska Hildebrand will be at the start for the DSV team at Holmenkollen.
