Voigt, Hinz and Hildebrandt clean through the first shooting
At the front, Marte Olsbu Røiseland ran at a high pace from the start and was able to significantly increase her lead after the first shooting. She started the race seven seconds before the French Julia Simon, after a faultless insert she put on half a minute. Vanessa Voigt was also able to knock down all the discs and thus claimed her twelfth place at the start. Vanessa Hinz and Franziska Hildbrandt also score five goals. Denise Herrmann, who skipped the relay on Saturday to save energy, had to do two penalty loops right at the start, Janina Hettich one.
Hildebrandt works her way forward
In the second prone shooting, Røiseland made a mistake, but her lead was not in jeopardy, as she was able to gain more time on the pursuers on the track and they did not make mistakes themselves. Voigt had to go into the penalty loop once, and Hinz twice. Hildebrandt, on the other hand, was able to work his way up from starting position 46 to 21 thanks to a second clean shooting interlude.
Herrmann and Hettich with three tickets
The leader’s upholstery should remain very comfortable after the first standing position. Her closest pursuer at the time, Kristina Reztsova, had to say goodbye to her hopes for victory with three mistakes. So now the older of the Öberg sisters and Alimbekava were just under 30 seconds behind. For the German female ski hunters, only Hildebrandt continued to run smoothly. She improved to 15th place. Voigt shot another ticket and fell back to 20th place. Hinz went on the penultimate lap in 35th. After three more mistakes, Herrmann and Hettich fought to limit the damage.
Røiseland makes everything clear
Five goals from Røiseland in the last shooting made the decision. There was no change behind either, as the pursuers shot straight away. Hildebrandt was handed back a little after two mistakes, but Voigt was able to push himself forward with five hits.
