3. Shoot
The suspense curve rises again as the first athletes arrive for their third shooting. This time it’s all about hitting all the targets in the standing position. Linn Persson now makes the first mistake and Elvira Öberg also turns into the penalty loop. Lisa Theresa Hauser, on the other hand, is really strong again, shoots down all the targets and is the first to go back on the cross-country ski run.
13:08
Hettich is also there
Behind Franziska Hildebrand, Janina Hettich was also able to avoid the penalty loop in both prone positions and is still in the top ten. Meanwhile, at the very front, Elvira Öberg is caught up with the leading duo Lisa Theresa Hauser and Linn Persson.
13:06
Voigt in midfield
From a German point of view, Vanessa Voigt was the best placed in the mass start ranking of the race and was 35 points behind the leader Dorothea Wierer. After a mistake, the German is only in 13th place.
13:05
2. Shoot
For Franziska Preuß, however, this time it’s time to turn into the penalty loop and complete 150 extra meters. With tenth place and a gap of 26 seconds, she is still in the middle of the race for the best places. On the other hand, Franziska Hildebrand came through again without a mistake and is currently the best DSV athlete in fifth place.
13:04
2. Shoot
The leading group is now coming back almost as one for the second prone stage. Marte Olsbu Røiseland is still the first athlete to lie down on the mat, but has to go to the penalty loop. Lisa Theresa Hauser and Linn Persson in particular shoot pretty quickly after that, hit everything and take the lead.
13:01
Öberg double pack in pursuit
Behind Marte Olsbu Røiseland, Elvira Öberg and Linn Persson are trying to keep up. In the slipstream there are also Lisa Theresa Hauser and Franziska Preuss. Overall, the gaps in the second lap are still very small.
13:00
Røiseland is steaming up
As usual, Marte Olsbu Røiseland is going really fast on the track and has managed to build up a small cushion on the rest of the leading group. The Norwegian is currently four seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
12:58 p.m
1. Shoot
Denise Herrmann missed a bullet right away and Tiril Eckhoff also has to go through the penalty loop. In contrast, Dorothea Wierer mastered the first task at the shooting range without any mistakes and is among the front runners.
12:57 p.m
1. Shoot
It’s ready for the first shooting in the final mass start! Who comes through best in the first prone? It’s Julia Simon who manages to hit all five targets and get back on track in first position. The DSV athletes Franziska Preuss and Vanessa Voigt got through the start without making any mistakes and stayed in the top group.
12:56
How is Wierer doing?
As mentioned, Dorothea Wierer is in the red jersey of the leaders in the mass start. On Friday, the Italian only ended up in the completely disappointing 67th place in the sprint and missed the pursuit. Today it takes a significant increase in performance if she wants to bag that little crystal ball.
12:54
Herrman at the top
For the first few meters, it is Denise Herrmann who dictates the pace on the trail. The German is currently at the top, followed by the Swedes Elvira and Hanna Öberg as well as Marte Olsbu Røiseland from Norway.
12:52
Best conditions
At the end of the season, the external conditions in Oslo once again presented themselves from the best side. The sun is shining at temperatures of almost seven degrees above freezing over the stadium. In addition, the wind at the shooting range should not play a major role.

Here we go!
The traditional starting gun opens the final women’s race this winter! From three starting corridors, the 30 runners tackle the first of a total of five 2.5-kilometer laps. As usual, the 25 best athletes in the overall World Cup are eligible to start. In addition, there are the five best ski hunters of the current weekend.
12:41
Häcki as a lone fighter
For the Swiss team, a fairly mixed season ends with only a few highlights. After all, Lena Häcki was able to qualify for the final competition by finishing 18th and 19th on the two previous days. Unfortunately, Selina Gasparin, who said goodbye yesterday, did not manage this. “After this Olympic season, I see the ideal time to end my long journey as an active biathlete. I will remember a multitude of fantastic, unforgettable experiences on and off the trails and shooting ranges,” said the 37-year-old.
12:33 p.m
The ÖSV duo
The Austrian Ski Association wants to say goodbye to the winter with the figurehead Lisa Theresa Hauser. On Friday, the 28-year-old was second in the sprint on the podium, followed by a decent sixth place in the pursuer. “Today’s race was really cool again. I was able to score good points again and I can also take part in a flower ceremony again, which of course makes me extremely happy,” said Hauser after yesterday’s competition. As the second runner from the red-white-red camp, Dunja Zdouc will be involved in the mass start.
12:21
Herrmann leads the DSV team
At the end of the winter, the runners of the German Ski Association are in great shape, as the previous two races at Holmenkollen have shown again. Above all, Denise Herrmann is in good form, finishing in the top ten in each of the past six competitions and being able to climb onto the podium three times. Franziska Preuss has also found her way back to her old strength after her health problems in the middle of the season. In addition, Vanessa Voigt, Franziska Hildebrand and Janina Hettich complete the DSV squad.
12:08 p.m
Excitement in the mass start classification
What else is at stake for the runners? Yesterday, the big crystal globe for victory in the overall World Cup was awarded to the Norwegian Marte Olsbu Røiseland, who finally refined her outstanding season after the five Olympic medals. In contrast, nothing has been decided in the discipline ranking of the mass start for a long time. There, Dorothea Wierer from Italy is currently in first position and is being chased by Swede Elvira Öberg and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet. Many other athletes also have arithmetic chances of winning the small crystal ball.
