The favourites
The top favorites for victory are once again the Norwegians. Johannes Thingnes Bø is the dominator this young season and is in top form to the point. But his teammates don’t keep quiet about their performance either. Above all, Sturla Holm Lægreid is one of Bø’s biggest competitors. Today they run together for victory. The Norwegian team is completed by Filip Fjeld Andersen and Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen. The French around Quentin Fillon Maillet and Émilien Jacquelin also want to get involved at the front.

Hartweg and Stalder want to move
The quartet from Switzerland fell far behind in the first relay race. Joscha Burkhalter didn’t seem to be 100% fit and handed over the baton early on with a big deficit. However, Sebastian Stalder and Niklas Hartweg were really convincing before Jeremy Finello was only able to bring home 18th place. For today, the quartet, which will start with the same cast but in a different order, has certainly planned a little more.

Austria with Lemmerer
David Komatz, Simon Eder, Felix Leitner and Harald Lemmerer are starting for the Austrian relay today. Lemmerer is in action for the relay for the first time this year. In Kontiolahti it was Patrick Jakob who held fourth position. A podium could be a difficult task again, but if the shooting range continues as good as it did in Finland, the Austrian team can certainly be counted among the extended group of favourites.

The German Quartet
The second relay race of the still early season is about to start. The quartet with Justus Strelow, Johannes Kühn, Roman Rees and Benedikt Doll already convinced on the first World Cup weekend in Kontiolahti and finished second behind the extremely strong Norwegians. Exactly these four biathletes should do it again today in Hochfilzen. So far, however, the men in Hochfilzen have not got along so well. In particular, the results at the shooting range must improve if another podium finish is to be achieved.
Warm welcome
Hello and welcome to the season of men from Hochfilzen! The live ticker starts in good time before the start of the Skijäger race.
