15:22
Eder in the top ten
Simon Eder and Joscha Burkhalter are still in the top ten at the finish. But that will be difficult to maintain as there are still some fast runners coming.
3:20 p.m
Kühn makes mistakes
Danilo Riethmüller made a mistake in his second shooting session, Johannnes Kühn had to make two mistakes. This means that any potential podium ambitions have slipped far away. He’s still in third place, but there are still a few others coming after him.
3:19 p.m
Bø shows his dominance
Johannes Thingnes Bø apparently had problems on the last lap, but still crossed the finish line with a lead of 1:49 minutes. The spectators are rightly cheering!
15:18
Strelow at the finish
Justus Strelow crossed the finish line in seventh place. Due to his three mistakes in the first shooting, he somewhat hindered his strong placing.
15:17
Stalder doing well
Sebastian Stalder started his last shooting session with a mistake, but then left it at that and went back on track with four goals. This puts him in fourth place at this point.
15:13
Kühn is very strong
After the third shooting, Johannes Kühn is only 15 seconds behind Bø in second place and well ahead of third. Can he bring that home in the final shootout?
15:13
Bø incredibly strong
Four times error-free, that’s what you have to do today! Johannes Thingnes Bø does something like that as a matter of course and confidently defends his leadership. But Johannes Kühn can also return to the track without making any mistakes.
3:10 p.m
Riehtmüller starts off great
His first shooting is impressive. Riethmüller was able to clear all the targets in his first shooting.
3:10 p.m
Strelow zero again
And Justus Strelow also completed his fourth shooting flawlessly. It’s such a shame that he had such problems with the first attack! He initially returns to the track in seventh place. Simon Eder also made no mistakes and was able to go into the final lap well ahead of Strelow, in fourth place.
3:08 p.m
Fillon Maillet at the finish
After five mistakes, Quentin Fillon Maillet is now the first to cross the finish line. But he won’t be able to hold the lead for long.
3:07 p.m
Doll falls out
And even in his third shooting today, Doll can’t stay clean. Of course, this doesn’t mean anything towards a top ranking. The Swiss Pacal also begins his debut with a mistake.
3:04 p.m
Riethmüller on the move
And with that Danilo Riethmüller started his first World Cup race. Maybe he can benefit from the slight hectic pace today?
3:04 p.m
Johannes Thingnes Bø in front
At the moment, johannes Thingnes Bø is the undisputed leader. He also completed his third shooting without any mistakes, while Roman Rees started his race with one mistake. At the same time, Johannes Kühn is also at the shooting range, who makes no mistakes. This means he returns to the round in second place after the second shooting!
3:02 p.m
Eder shoots well
Simon Eder also shows strong shooting and can knock down all the targets. Sturla Holm Laegreid also keeps a clean slate.
3:01 p.m
Hofer with problems
That is bitter. Lukas Hofer lies on the mat for a long time before he fires the first shot. Then he also makes three mistakes. Meanwhile, Justus Strelow can get back on the track without making any mistakes.
14:59
Doll is passed something
Benni Doll begins his second shooting session with a mistake and ends it the same way. It’s a shame, that adds 90 seconds.
14:57
Boldly flawless
Despite his three mistakes, Philipp Nawrath is still well in the race before the third shooting. But then he makes a mistake and is swept back a little further. Johannes Kühn mastered his first prone shooting without any mistakes.
14:52
Strelow remains zero
Justus Strelow coped much better with his first standing shooting and was able to clear all the targets. Joscha Burkhalter and Sebastian Stalder each had to make one mistake at the same time.
14:52
Ponsiluoma good
Neither Martin Ponsiluoma nor the Bø brothers were deterred by the fog. However, Benedikt Doll made two errors in his first shooting and came back on track with 1:50 minutes.
2:50 p.m
Leitner too slow?
Felix Leitner didn’t make any mistakes in the first shooting and is still over a minute behind. It’s a shame, hopefully he can make up for something over the course of the race.
2:48 p.m
Lots of errors currently
After an almost error-free start, there are now a lot of errors being made. Johannes Dale-Skjevdal can do better and stay error-free. Philipp Nawrath, on the other hand, had to make two mistakes in the standing shooting. Bø remains error-free.
2:46 p.m
Bø starts strong
Johannes Thingnes Bø starts his race very quickly and takes a clear lead in the first split times. In the meantime, Justus Strelow made three errors, but the same thing also happened to Quentin Fillon Maillet. Is this perhaps related to the fog becoming thicker again?
2:42 p.m
Leitner shoots well
Meanwhile, Felix Leitner shows squeaky-clean shooting and can get back on the track without any extra seconds.
2:42 p.m
Strelow back a little
Justus Strelow can’t keep up with the current best time, but it’s only about six seconds. That doesn’t mean anything at the start of the race.
2:40 p.m
First shooting from Nawrath
Nawrath came to the shooting range just behind the leaders and then missed his first shot. But he meets the rest.
2:38 p.m
Clean first shooting
While his colleagues are still on the track, Fillon Maillet shows his first and clean shooting. Giacomel also remains error-free.
2:36 p.m
Nawrath doing well
There aren’t many athletes out yet, but Philipp Nawrath can keep up well with the already running athletes like Giacomel and Fillon Maillet on the first lap.
2:35 p.m
Leitner is also on the way
And the team from Austria has also arrived in the race. Felix Leitner is on his way.
2:34 p.m
Nawrath on the way
Now the first German is on the track with start number six. Let’s see what works for him.
2:31 p.m
Here we go
The fog has cleared, the audience is ready and Quentin Fillon Maillet has just opened the race.
2:25 p.m
Brief rules
If you’re wondering what a short individual actually is, this competition format was introduced primarily to provide a shorter route in the event of poor weather conditions. But it is also used from time to time to better adapt the competition calendar to the season. Same today. Because Antholz is quite high up and the next stop is the World Cup. The athletes should be given the opportunity to control their load more. So today there will be five kilometers less run and for a mistake there will only be a 45 second penalty instead of 60.
2:19 p.m
The favorites
We probably don’t need to mention that practically all Norwegians are to be expected. Roman Rees is currently leading the discipline rankings ahead of Justus Strelow. But that doesn’t mean much, as there was only one individual race this winter. Nevertheless: keep an eye on them both! But we should also keep names like Martin Ponsiluoma or Sebastian Stalder on our radar.
14:13
Race is delayed
Since there was still heavy fog in the stadium until recently, the start of the race was postponed by ten minutes to 2:30 p.m.
14:12
Sebastian Stalder promising
Joscha Burkhalter, the first Swiss, starts the race in 14th place, followed a few minutes later by Sebastian Stalder. He was in good form recently and was able to achieve several top ten places in Ruhpolding and Oberhof. James Pacal, who is also celebrating his World Cup debut, will take part in the 15 kilometers today with start number 58.
2:02 p.m
Can Austria get involved?
The Austrians are spread across the entire field. Starting with start number nine is Felix Leitner, who definitely has to get past the shooting. Above all, the prone position is his greatest strength. Simon Eder, who has been struggling with his running form recently, will start the race in 16th place. Prone shooting is also very strong for him at the moment. For Magnus Oberhauser (79) and Dominic Unterweger (104), the main thing will be to stay as clean as possible when shooting and thus stay in touch.
13:52
Germany with a big squad
Philipp Nawrath will be the first German to start the race with starting number nine. His current good running form should help him achieve a good result. If the shooting is right. After his strong weekend in Ruhpolding, Justus Strelow (15) will certainly go into this shortened individual with a tailwind. His shooting form is also pretty good at the moment, let’s see what happens today. If Benedikt Doll gets his shooting under control again, he can also go a long way. But that has been his Achilles heel in recent races. Johannes Kühn is waiting for his start in position 38 and, with a few outliers, has always been able to place in the top ten. And last but not least, Roman Rees will take to the track with start number 52 and the red jersey. So everything is actually prepared for a reasonable German result.
Unfortunately, Philipp Horn is ill and cannot take his starting place. But Danilo Riethmüller will start for him and make his first World Cup appearance.
Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the men’s 15km individual from Antholz! The live ticker begins in time before the start of the ski hunter race.
