Biathlete Franziska Preuss looks ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics after her triumph in the overall World Cup. The German ski hunter is particularly important in terms of the great highlight of the season.

Franziska Preuss won the large crystal ball in the biathlon in March. However, the 31-year-old did not get really quiet afterwards.

“That was definitely one of the most stressful summer. Somehow the appointments add up. If you somehow juggles everything. The training, the appointments, also the regeneration,” revealed Prussia to the “BR”.

The DSV athlete helps the win of the overall biathlon world cup. “I was able to fulfill my biggest dream and everything that is still coming is. And it gives me a bit of serenity,” said Preuss.

Prussia wants to “just go to the Olympics without any problems”

In the upcoming biathlon season, Olympia 2026 in Italy (February 6th to 22nd) is on the program. Preuss won the bronze medal with the German season 2022 in Beijing. In the past, injuries and illness-related setbacks prevented a larger precious metal yield.

“I would just like to go to the Olympics without any problems and make normal races there. And what comes out then you have to look,” said Preuss.

The reigning overall World Cup winner recently crowned herself in the persecution of the German champion. Preuss had previously defeated Janina Hettich-Walz in singles and sprint.

“And the German championships are already around. It was a great test for the current range of training and I’m satisfied. It goes on,” Preuss then wrote on Instagram.

The two-time world champion congratulated Hettich-Walz on a “ingenious comeback”. Hettich Walz is back in the German team after her baby break.
