A lady (67) from Genk has lost more than 10,000 euros due to scammers. Hard-earned money from herself and from family members whose accounts she manages. “She feels extremely guilty,” says Inspector Luis Vicente Duarte of PZ CARMA in her place. The scammers were well prepared and falsely pretended to be bank employees. On surveillance footage you can see how one of them calmly withdraws dozens of notes of money from the stolen bank cards.
