Indie rocker Betterov has released the single “Mein Leben ist monoton” together with the German band Province. With the song, the musicians create what they call an “obscure mind game”, embedded in Betterov’s characteristically dark and melancholic sound.
The absurd situation is described when a so-called dud, i.e. an unexploded bomb, is dug up in front of one’s own front door. The song is about recognizing finiteness and appreciating everyday life. The joint piece was produced by Tim Tautorat, who has already worked with AnnenMayKantereit and The Kooks.
After the single “Jil Sander Sun” that has already been released, Betterov delivers another foretaste of the deluxe edition of his record “Olympia” with “Mein Leben ist monoton”. His debut album was released about a year ago and made it to number 5 in the German charts. The extended version “Olympia (Ehrenrunde)” will be released on October 13, 2023 and contains eight bonus tracks in addition to the 13 songs of the original version. In addition to province, the indie duo Blumengarten will also be heard on the LP.
From November, Betterov will be playing in 15 German cities on his “Olympia” tour. You can still buy tickets for the tour here.
