Bestseller supports sustainability conference in Rwanda

The Danish textile group Bestseller A/S supports the ‘Innovation Lab’ of the Danish non-profit organization Unleash with industry experts.

The organization’s work is committed to implementing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unleash has been organizing the ‘Innovation Lab’ conference format since 2017, bringing together industry experts to address the goals of the SDGs. Now the first ‘Innovation Lab’ is taking place on the African continent and in the first week of December, Bestseller employees in Rwanda will address sustainable development issues with more than 1,000 participants, the fashion company announced last week.

Bestseller has been taking part in the organization’s ‘Innovation Labs’ since 2017 and is now supporting the conference for the first time with its own industry representatives and experts. In terms of content, the event in Rwanda not only deals with circular economy and sustainable development, but also with topics such as financial inclusion, health and land use. In total, representatives from around 136 different countries are expected.

“With our expertise in circular economy and environmentally friendly practices as well as our understanding of the business context, all Bestseller experts hope to set an important benchmark for promising ideas,” says Camilla Skjønning Jørgense, Manager of Materials and Innovation at Bestseller. “We also can’t wait to meet talented people from around the world who are passionate about making a difference.
