A stroke of luck. From 6 December at the cinema

Woody Allen’s 50th film a story that mixes drama and black comedy, the reverse shot of Match Points moved from London to Paris. Fanny and Jean (Lou de Laâge and Melvil Poupaud) form a seemingly perfect couple. Professionally satisfied, they live in a beautiful apartment and, although the relationship is no longer very fresh, they seem as in love as on the first day.

But when Fanny meets Alain (Niels Schneider), a former high school friend of hers, the two begin to meet very frequently, making her husband suspicious. Who hires two henchmen to get rid of Alain. Unaware of what happened, Fanny she becomes convinced that the boy has abandoned her. But fate has a karma lesson in store.

Wonka. From December 14th at the cinema

The story is about the origin of Willy, a chocolate maker (already embodied by Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp) played by a singer Timothée Chalamet, in a version that was already liked by those who saw it in preview. On stage we follow the first steps of the chocolate king until he meets the Oompa Loompas, including Lofty, a little green-haired man who has the face of Hugh Grant.

The world behind you. From December 8th on Netflix

Two families fight to survive to a mysterious blackout. Amanda (Julia Roberts) and Clay (Ethan Hawke) rent a nice house For a weekend with your teenage children. Peace, however, is short-lived. During the night two strangers knock on the door: GH (Mahershala Ali) and his daughter Ruth (Myha’la).

The two say that there was a mysterious cyberattack in the city, they therefore want to take refuge in the house of which they say they are the owners. Not only, GH and Ruth argue that the cyberattack is the prelude to the collapse of the world, with which all the characters in this story will have to deal. The film, based on Rumaan Alam’s 2020 bestseller of the same name, is co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company.

My goodness. From December 14th at the cinema

The new comedy by Ficarra and Picone starts from a simple assumption: the world needs a new Messiah. The Celestial Assembly says this after an excited meeting in Heaven, following which God (Giovanni Storti) sends Picone-angel making the annunciation of a new Jesus, simply touching a woman with his hand.

It happens, however, that this angel makes friends with a man (Ficarra), whose belly he inadvertently touches after a few too many drinks in an attempt to save him from a car accident. In addition to the good comedians, there are some in the cast Maria Chiara Giannetta and Barbara Ronchi.

Ferrari. From December 14th at the cinema

Michael Mann – now working on the sequel to Heat – The challenge – takes us into the 1957. Year in which Enzo Ferrari (Adam Driver) is in deep crisis. The car company he founded together with his wife Laura (Penelope Cruz) is on the verge of bankruptcy. As well as the marriage, undermined by sudden death of his son Dino (due to Duchenne dystrophy), and from Piero’s discovery, son that Ferrari had with Lina Lardi (Shailene Woodley).

Looking for new stimuli, Ferrari decides to bet everything on four cars entered in the legendary Mille Miglia. One of these is the protagonist of a terrible accident in Guidizzolonear Mantua (9 deaths including 5 children, together with the pilot and navigator). Initially indictedthe patron was acquitted in 1961.

Master. From December 20th on Netflix

Directed and performed by the actor-director Bradley Cooper, the biopic about the great composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein focuses on troubled marriage to Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan). Lasted over 30 years but undermined by Leonard’s relationships with various men, without ever publicly declaring his homosexuality.

Divorce – in order to live with Tom Cothran (Gideon Glick), radio manager and composer – arrived in 1976. But a year later the exes returned to live together, after Felicia was diagnosed with lung cancer (she died in 1978). She then takes over Kunihiko Hashimoto, Bernstein’s greatest love – a young Japanese employee of an insurance company who will remain close to Leonard until his death in 1990.

Wish. From December 21st at the cinema

Voiced by Gaia, Amadeus and Michele Riondinothe Disney animated film – directed by Chris Buck, director of Frozen – And set in the magical kingdom of Rosas. On this fantastic island young Asha makes a wish strong enough to be answered by a small star full of energy called, Star.

To save Asha’s community, the two new friends then face the evil ruler of Rosas, King Magnificent. But above all to demonstrate to everyone that by combining willpower with the magic of the stars, wonderful things can happen. Also fighting with them is Valentino, a funny little goat who is a bit pedantic.

How can a rock. From December 28th at the cinema

Pious (Pio D’Antini), A former awkward boyfriend, he is now a lawyer and president of the family business. Together with his wife and children he lives a comfortable life in castle of the in-laws, the Pasin marquises producers of prosecco. But he is not entirely satisfied.
