Best European wakeboarders descend on the Leie

Wakeboarding is a water sport that originated in 1985, in which the wakeboarder is pulled over the water by a boat on a line. The wake or wave caused by the boat is ideal for performing stunts on the wakeboard. On the basis of those stunts, the participants will receive the points this weekend. There will be qualifications on Saturday and the race will start around noon on Sunday.

Malibu Boats Belgium, Batoo Wakeboard Club, Mahalo Concepts and the IWWF are jointly organizing the event, which is a first in our country. The event will take place at the banks of the Leie in Kuurne. The doors are open all weekend without obligation, as are the street and foot bars.
