Beşiktaş’s coach Önder Karaveli made statements about the agenda. Karaveli also answered questions about Larin and transfer issues. Here are Karaveli’s explanations.
“WE STARTED TO TRANSFER”
“Demir Ege Tıknaz, Emirhan Delibaş, Necati Bilgiç, Emirhan İlkhan… These are our winter transfers.
Our transfers are sound. We started transferring. Maybe the media is skipping. We brought Kerem Kalafat. Right-back as an alternative to Rosier. We want to use more players who take less time for the team. One of them is Alex and N’Koudou will start work in March. We need that kind of players.”
THE WORDS OF THE SONS
“There is a lot of speculation about Larin. I find it normal for you to ask this. Larin is a name that had a share in the championship and the cup last season. He contributed goals again this season. The current player of the Canadian National Team is already in the camp at the moment.
I signed a contract with Beşiktaş on 24 December, this is an administrative obligation anyway. After 15 days you have to sign the contract. The management and Mr. Ceyhun did not even say a word to me about any player after I took office. This shows the prestige of Beşiktaş. It didn’t happen before me, and it can’t happen after that.
We played 4-1-4-1 format in Malatyaspor match. We were entering a lot of positions, but we couldn’t score. The match we played below the 5 goal expectation was already very little. Alex was spinning that match and we wanted to use it, but he wasn’t quite ready either. We needed to make an assessment and rest on Larin. We had to rest Josef too, and he was injured that day.
We preferred him in the Malatyaspor match, as Kenan contributed to the midfield when Alex was ahead.
Malatyaspor is a team that stands behind the crowd. No team has found such a position against Malatyaspor. We needed a dribbling player on the side, I planned it and I put Emirhan in the game. Larin did not enter the game that day. Not playing Larin is a hundred percent technical decision. The plus and the minus are mine.”
