Besiktas Istanbul have signed their fourth player from England in left-back Arthur Masuaku. The 28-year-old DR Congo international joins West Ham United on a loan with a €2.2m option to buy, where he remains under contract until 2024.
The “Hammers” took Masuaku from Olympiakos Piraeus in 2016 for 7.1 million euros, since then he has made 128 competitive appearances (2 goals/10 assists). Last season, however, the defender only played 646 minutes in the Premier League. In addition to Masuaku, Besiktas and coach Valérien Ismaël have also signed Romain Saïss (32; Wolves), Cenk Tosun (31; Everton) and Wout Weghorst (29; Burnley) from England from the eight signed players.
We can confirm @ArthurMasuaku has joined Beşiktaş on loan.
Everyone at the Club would like to wish Arthur the best for his loan spell in Istanbul.
