purchase option drawn
The Süper Lig third party Besiktas has made the first permanent commitment for the coming season. Arthur Masuaku is moving to the Bosphorus from West Ham United in the summer. The 29-year-old, whose contract in London would have been valid until 2024, moved to Istanbul last August on loan with an option to buy.
As Besiktas announced, the transfer fee for the French amounts to 2 million euros. Meanwhile, Masuaku has been given a two-year contract with an option for another. After his move, the full-back played 26 league games for the “Schwarzen Adler”, contributed to six goals and was only once not in the starting XI. Its market value was increased slightly to EUR 5.5 million last autumn. The 14-time Congo international played 128 games for West Ham between 2016 and 2022, 105 of them in the Premier League.
