The 61-year-old Bertha from Ubbena won …. euros on Sunday evening in the television program Postcode Loterij Miljoenenjacht.
De Drentse made it to the final with the suitcases in the program of presenter Linda de Mol by not yielding in the semi-final for a sum of 52,000 euros. Her opponent also did not give in for that amount. Bertha turned out to be faster in mental arithmetic and was allowed to continue to the suitcase game.-
In the final, she first chose a few suitcases with large amounts in the first round, but then she had suitcases with smaller amounts opened. Initially, she was offered an amount of 47,000 euros and 99,000 euros, but after the third round, the bank increased that amount to 199,000 euros. Subsequently, 314,000 euros were offered. Then Bertha still had the suitcases with a million and five million in the game.
During the game, Bertha already called 314,000 euros a wonderful amount. While all her fellow villagers indicated that she had to stop, she went on another round. She then opened the briefcase with a million. The bank then offered 488,000 euros. And Bertha was happy with that. In her own suitcase it turned out to be only a thousand euros.
Bertha indicated that she wanted to spend the money won, among other things, to get rid of her daughter’s student debt. She has also set her sights on a camper.
