Berlin’s Europacity now also has a historic building

It is the only building in northern Europacity that has history in its walls: the grain test storage facility on the shipping canal has been renovated and converted.

There are now event spaces and a café with a terrace downstairs, and offices upstairs. After years of vacancy, the statics had their pitfalls, and an attic was added.

The style inside: robust industrial charm. Some clinker fields were replaced by windows, balconies with a view of the northern harbor were hung.

“The granary survived the war and is a real landmark,” says client Thomas Bergander from Taurecon.
