The 110th Berlin Sixdays are over. After three great days in the velodrome on Landsberger Allee, the celebrated winners among the men are the local heroes Theo Reinhardt & Roger Kluge with 130 points.

They land in front of the Dutchmen Yoeri Havik/Vincent Hoppezak (124). Already their second success in the traditional race after 2019. The Dutch women Marit Raaijmakers/Mylene de Zoete win the women’s race.

Top sporting achievements and making ends meet economically – this is the conclusion drawn by Valts Miltovics (43), Managing Director of Sixdays GmbH. 13,000 fans came over the three days.

Miltovics: “We’re not in the red, there weren’t any free tickets, but you can’t talk about earnings either.” That at least gives hope that the wheel of the Sixdays will continue to turn next year. The organizers are trying to go back to six days, but again three are realistic.

The Berlin economy is challenged. Nothing works without or with only a few sponsors. It will also depend on whether there will be live bands indoors again for entertainment and whether the gastronomic supply will improve. Because this time it was not possible to acquire the catering rights for cost reasons. There were too few supply stands and long queues in front of them.

Entertainment, eating, drinking, having fun – that’s what makes the Sixdays special…
