After the new edition of the Loveparade Rave the Planet was about to be cancelled, the final confirmation came on Saturday afternoon (July 8th) a few hours before the start of the event: the rave parade can take place. Rave the Planet is now in full swing.
The event, which was registered as a demo, started around 2 p.m. at the Großer Stern in Berlin-Tiergarten. At the beginning there was a welcome from the event organizer Dr. Moth. “Our motto: Music is the answer. Nice to see you!” he said, according to “BZ” – before he started a call for donations for the event: “We’re still missing 150,000 euros,” says the techno legend.

The party is now in full swing. Trucks have been moving back and forth between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column since 2 p.m. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected. The police shared the status quo in a tweet. Accordingly, the utilization is already high, the train station at the Brandenburg Gate was closed for safety reasons. The police have not yet announced the exact number of participants.

problems with organization
The event was on the brink for a long time. According to information from the “Berliner Zeitung”, the organization around DJ Dr. Motte fails to organize paramedics for the event. First responders are particularly important as the midsummer rave can often cause exhaustion among the exhausting dancers. The administration of the city of Berlin said that the organizers had not signed contracts with the Malteser Hilfsdienst early enough.
