Berlin SPD bans the Rammstein after-show parties

The three Rammstein concerts in the Berlin Olympic Stadium will have to do without after-show parties. That reports “Picture” and shared a statement from Interior Senator Iris Spranger (SPD). Berlin follows the example of Munich, where no events are planned after the performances. “In Berlin there will be no after-show parties by the band Rammstein in the properties for which I am responsible,” Spranger is quoted as saying by the newspaper. “We have to wait for the investigations, but the allegations are so serious that the protection and safety of women have absolute priority here.”

This decision is a consequence of reports of allegedly abusive behavior by Till Lindemann. The Rammstein singer is accused by several women of having abused them before, during and after the concert (“Aftershow”). According to the descriptions, in a room specially set up for this purpose, in which the women had previously been recruited from “Row Zero” at Rammstein concerts.

Today, Wednesday (June 7th), Rammstein are celebrating the start of a four-part concert series in Munich. There has been criticism – many people are calling for the shows to be canceled – as well as expressions of solidarity for the frontman, who his fans see as a kind of “media victim” or “victim of assertive groupies”.
