Berlin Senate receives petition (and demonstration) in front of City Hall

Tens of thousands of votes against Rammstein concerts in Berlin: Today, Tuesday (June 27), Iris Spranger, SPD interior senator, received a petition that was signed by over 60,000 people. The aim is to convince the Senate “as the host of the Olympic Stadium” to stop the band’s planned three July performances in Berlin. The petition further demands that the Senate should accept a contractual penalty for this. Spranger had previously announced that Rammstein after-show parties would be banned in state-managed properties.

Demand and demonstration: No Rammstein concerts in Berlin in the Olympic Stadium

The text of the petition on the “Campact” platform states that the Olympic Stadium is owned by the state of Berlin: “This means that the red-black state government is responsible: you can work to ensure that the Olympic Stadium terminates the contracts with Rammstein. The responsible senators Spranger and Chialo must act now. The attacks must not be repeated. The Rammstein concerts have to be cancelled! Berlin must not become a place for sexual abuse! We don’t celebrate perpetrators!”

In Berlin in front of the Senate building there was a demonstration in addition to the presentation of the petition.
