The lion bridge in the Großer Tiergarten is being rebuilt. A comment from BZ editor Andreas Vollbrechtshausen.
The bridge is coming again. Good news. Only: The fact that almost ten years had to go into the country for this decision is bitter. It is probably due to this certain sausage quality that is widespread in Berlin.
The dilapidated bridge was dismantled in 2014, and in 2015 the administration only said succinctly: There is simply a lack of personnel for the reconstruction.
Difficult to understand how the cultural heritage is dealt with here. After all, it’s about a suspension bridge from 1838!
It actually seems to be progressing now. Alone: I don’t really trust the announcement and am only satisfied when I’ve walked over the new Löwenbrücke for the first time.
