What a mess! The public order office in Neukölln caught a man illegally disposing of his garbage. The employees filmed the act and ordered the polluter to collect his garbage again – they also kept the camera on it.

A tweet from the Neukölln regulatory office caused a stir on Wednesday afternoon. The video post on Twitter says: “Walks in the woods are healthy. But if the civil patrol looks on and the forest is not used for recreation but for illegal waste disposal, then it gets expensive.”

In June, the civil servants observed the man and recorded how he unloaded around a cubic meter of bulky waste from his car and wanted to dispose of it in nature, a spokesman for the Neukölln public order office said on request.

Two days later it was time to pack everything up again! Under the supervision of the officers, the man collects his rubbish

Because the culprit disappeared too quickly, the employees could not intervene directly. Instead, the man could be identified via his license plate. There was a second meeting two days after the personal details were taken – this time to clean up the mess. The officials also documented this action and put the video online. The person to be recognized was pixelated with video software.

The man now expects a fine of at least 500 euros. He must also provide proof of correct disposal.
