Police and prosecutors have busted a city-wide drug ring. Kilos of cocaine and marijuana were seized. Arrest warrants were announced for the two main suspects (38, 39) on Tuesday. Four suspects have been temporarily arrested.

The two main perpetrators have been under investigation since May of this year. “They are said to have organized the illegal trade in cocaine and marijuana in a highly professional and divided manner,” says a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office.

Ten apartments and two vehicles were searched on Monday on behalf of the public prosecutor’s office. Reason: “Two proceedings for organized trafficking in narcotics.”

The extensive investigations led investigators to ten bunker apartments in Schönefeld, Schöneberg, Wilmersdorf, Gesundbrunnen, Charlottenburg, Moabit, Friedrichshain and Steglitz. There the officers seized the drugs, five-figure cash, a firearm and ammunition as well as a blank gun. Cell phones and data carriers were also confiscated.

The investigators arrested the two main accused in a house on the corner of Eisenacher and Freisinger Strasse in Schöneberg and brought them in for questioning. Before the arrest, the suspects threw two packages of drugs wrapped in aluminum foil out of the window.
