Are there police officers on duty in the capital who are not allowed to be? A scandal at the police academy is still causing unrest within the agency. Have several candidates cheated on exams?
Review: Last year, candidate Yvonne R. and her attempted fraud were exposed. A friend of hers was supposed to take the class H19A sports test because she wasn’t fit enough. Because of the mask requirement, nobody noticed – until the sports teacher asked for the service number. R. was fired. Four days later, the academy director organized a “collective hearing” of the class.
Yvonne R. wrote an email to her class teacher at the time shortly after the attempted fraud. He forwarded the letter to the Academy management. In the email, the mother of two accused at least four other candidates of cheating on exams. They are all on duty now…
BZ is the complaint (official German: Remonstration) of the ex-class teacher. In it he criticizes the “collective hearing”. The procedure shows “so serious deficiencies in the rule of law” that they are “illegal and all the knowledge gained so far cannot be used”.
Academy and police leadership defend themselves against the allegations: The contradiction was not known to the Academy, the allegations of fraud were investigated.
A police spokeswoman: “They could not be verified or could be cleared out. As a result, all sports performances to pass the test were undoubtedly successfully achieved.”
