Sinem Tasan-Funke and Peter Maass
The Berlin Jusos will continue to be led by a dual leadership.
The participants of a state delegate conference confirmed the two chairmen Sinem Tasan-Funke and Peter Maass in office on Saturday. The duo has been at the head of the young SPD in the capital since August 2020 and has now been elected for another two years.
According to their own statements, the Jusos – short for Young Socialists – have around 5,000 members in Berlin. This makes them the largest political youth organization in the city.
According to their self-description, the Jusos do not see themselves as “good party or government youth who only put up posters during election campaigns”. Rather, one is linked to the mother party in critical solidarity.
