Berlin federal policeman disappeared without a trace

Mysterious missing person case in Berlin-Hellersdorf! Federal police officer Heiko Krüger (57) disappeared without a trace on Saturday. He wanted to do coastal service in Cuxhaven (Lower Saxony), but never got there. Investigators are puzzled.

When he said goodbye on Saturday, his wife waved to him from the balcony. The last time she saw him. Monika Krüger is at the end of her nerves. “He wanted to drive to his federal police station.”

They have known each other since 1994 and got married in 2019. He has been serving with the coast guard in Cuxhaven for years. One week job, one week at home in Berlin. The retired social worker: “We didn’t have any arguments, he wasn’t frustrated at work.” Everything was the same as always.

When her husband still didn’t get in touch on Monday, Monika Krüger called his office: “His colleagues reported that he hadn’t turned up for work.” The Berlin police were then called in.

According to investigators, the chief police officer at sea left the shared apartment on Klausdorfer Strasse at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. At 8:55 p.m. he stopped at the Shell petrol station on Stendaler Strasse, the closest to where he lives. According to initial findings, he left her a little later. But the journey did not lead to the sea.

Puzzling: The Berlin colleagues finally located his mobile phone in his gray VW Touareg (license plate B – KA 1665). The car was in the parking lot in front of his house! Money, documents, clothes – all personal things were in there. Only the key was missing.

The investigators used search dogs – no trace of Heiko Krüger. His cell phone was confiscated and is now being evaluated.

His wife is desperate, looking for possible reasons for his disappearance. “Maybe he has a girlfriend, but our marriage was actually perfectly fine,” says Monika Krüger, “I hope that he didn’t come into contact with dangerous people on business and that something was done to him.

Every police station accepts information about the whereabouts of the slim, 1.75 meter tall man.
