Berlin fashion shows and trade fairs will again take place at the same time in the future

The most important Berlin fashion events are returning to the tried-and-tested model: from 2023, the trade fairs of the Premium Group and the fashion shows of the Berlin Fashion Week are to take place at the same time again. The organizers announced this in a statement on Monday.

The reason for the joint planning was the “successful comeback” of the Premium and Seek trade fairs, which celebrated their return to the capital last week, according to the report. The Berlin Fashion Week, which was last scheduled for March and September, will return to the schedule it has been used to for years and will again take place parallel to the trade fairs in January and July from next year. Before that, however, an issue is planned for September.

With the decision, “the two leading events in the industry” bundled their “specialist and consumer-focused formats” and could “in this way make better use of synergies,” the organizers explained in their statement. “This will further strengthen Berlin’s position as a meeting place for the fashion industry.”

Stephan Schwarz, Berlin’s Senator for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, welcomed the new schedule: “This cooperation is the right and consistent further development and a strong signal of departure for Berlin as a meeting place for the fashion industry. I hope that this will have a magnetic effect on our metropolis and new perspectives for Berlin’s fashion industry,” he said in a statement.
