The super sunny Saturday was just the bright beginning. Now comes the crazy heat sunny Sunday.
Saturday 36 degrees in the capital, Sunday up to 38 degrees are possible. That almost scratches the Berlin heat record from June 2019: 38.4 degrees Celsius. The weather service even issued an official heat warning for this weekend and pointed to high UV exposure. The warning should be taken seriously, because in the densely built-up city center it will be significantly hotter in places.

Crazy activity in the outdoor pools on Saturday, the online ticket shop collapsed. The bathing establishments announced: “Tickets for the summer baths are only available at the bathing registers until further notice.” Of course, what doctors advise also applies today: Take it easy on the day! Little exercise, drink a lot, use sunscreen and seek shade.
